BoogieBox ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the BoogieBox mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Anonymous Usage:

• We use anonymous authentication - no email or personal details required
• A unique anonymous ID is generated for your device

Photos:

• Photos you upload are sent to our third-party AI service provider for processing
• Our AI service provider may temporarily store images during processing
• All generated videos are saved locally on your device

Usage Data:

• Generation counts for credit tracking (Pro users: 900 credits/week = 3 videos)
• Subscription status from payment processor
• Device type and operating system

2. Face Data and Photos

What We Do:

• Users upload photos for AI-powered dance video generation (photos may incidentally contain faces)
• Photos are temporarily sent to our AI cloud provider for video generation
• The AI generates dance videos based on the uploaded image - it does NOT perform facial recognition, face detection, or biometric analysis
• We do NOT extract, analyze, or store any facial features, face geometry, or biometric identifiers

What We Do NOT Do:

• NO facial recognition or identification
• NO biometric data collection or analysis
• NO face detection or tracking
• NO storage of facial features or face maps
• NO analysis of facial characteristics, emotions, or attributes

Photo Processing:

• Upload: Photos are uploaded to our AI cloud provider's secure servers for processing
• Processing: The AI generates a dance video using your uploaded image
• Storage: Photos are stored on our provider's servers for 5-7 days for processing, then automatically deleted
• Access: Only you can access your generated videos via unique URLs
• Local Storage: Generated videos are saved to YOUR device's storage when received

Third-Party Processing:

Our AI cloud provider processes images solely for the purpose of generating dance videos. Photos are stored for 5-7 days for processing, then automatically deleted. The AI performs video generation - it does not identify individuals or perform biometric identification for our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• AI Video Generation: Your photos are sent to our AI cloud provider for AI-powered dance video generation
• Credit Tracking: Track usage to enforce generation limits
• Subscription Management: Process payments via secure payment processors and Apple
• App Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• AI Cloud Provider: Third-party AI service for video generation. Your photos are temporarily uploaded for processing. Photos are stored for 5-7 days then automatically deleted. The provider does NOT perform facial recognition or biometric analysis.
• Authentication Service: Anonymous authentication and usage tracking
• Payment Processor: Subscription and payment processing via industry-standard secure services
• Apple App Store: Payment processing and app distribution

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

5. Data Sharing

• We do NOT sell or rent your personal data
• Your photos are shared with our third-party AI service provider for processing
• We do NOT share your data with other third parties except as necessary for app functionality
• We may share anonymized usage statistics for analytics
• We may share data if required by law

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Photos are transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption. All local data is stored in encrypted storage on your device. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

• All your gallery items and app settings are stored locally on your device
• Photos are processed by our third-party AI service provider and stored for 5-7 days, then automatically deleted
• Usage counts are kept in our database for credit tracking purposes
• You can delete local data anytime by uninstalling the app

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your anonymous user data
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Request a copy of your server-side data (usage counts only)
• Opt out of analytics by deleting the app

9. Children's Privacy

BoogieBox is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately at hello@boogiebox.org.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
