BoogieBox ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the BoogieBox mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Anonymous Usage:

• We use anonymous authentication - no email or personal details required
• A unique anonymous ID is generated for your device

Photos:

• Photos you upload are sent directly to our third-party AI service provider for processing
• We do NOT store your photos on our servers
• Our AI service provider processes images temporarily and does not retain them
• Generated videos are saved locally on YOUR device only

Usage Data:

• Generation counts for credit tracking (status only, not content)
• Subscription status from RevenueCat
• Device type and operating system

2. How We Use Your Information

• AI Video Generation: Your photos are sent directly to our third-party AI service provider for processing. We do not store them.
• Credit Management: Track usage to enforce generation limits
• Subscription Management: Process payments via RevenueCat/Apple
• App Improvement: Analyze anonymous usage patterns to enhance features

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• AI Service Provider (Fal.ai): Third-party AI service for video generation. Your photos are sent to this service for processing but are not retained.
• Supabase: Anonymous authentication and minimal usage tracking (no image storage)
• RevenueCat: Subscription and payment processing
• Apple App Store: Payment processing and app distribution

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

5. Data Sharing

• We do NOT sell or rent your personal data
• Your photos are shared with our third-party AI service provider for processing only
• We do NOT share your data with other third parties except as necessary for app functionality
• We may share anonymized usage statistics for analytics
• We may share data if required by law

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• All data transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption
• Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures users can only access their own data
• Minimal data collection - we only store what's absolutely necessary
• Generated videos stored locally in encrypted storage on your device

However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

• All your videos and app settings are stored locally on your device only
• Photos are processed by our AI provider and immediately discarded
• Only minimal usage data (credit counts, status) is kept on our servers
• You can delete local data anytime by uninstalling the app

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your anonymous user data
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us
• Request a copy of your server-side data (minimal: credit counts only)
• Opt out of analytics by deleting the app

9. Children's Privacy

BoogieBox is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately at hello@boogiebox.org.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
